2nd CDH Program

The second CDH programme of IDA Kochi was concluded successfully today with screening of 300 patients. .Lead by Prez Dr Ajit P , initiated by CDH Convener Dr HariGovind & WDC Chair Dr Brijitha Manoj , executed by our respected members. We had maximum doctor participation to help in the camp.

30.May.2019 11th CDH Program: Anti tobacco campaign
IDA Kochi launched an ANTI TOBACCO ONLINE COMPAIGN 30 the May 2019 at 12pm. This compaign continued till 9pm on 31 st May at IMA House. Two police officers were honoured in a special meeting on 31/5/19 considering their commentable contribution in antinarcotic drive.
21.May.2019 10th CDH Program: Awareness talk
The Women's wing of IDA Kochi conducted Dental awareness talk to 100's of women at the 'Mother & Child Healthcare Centre' at Chalikkavattam, Kochi on 21/5/19 at 11.30 AM, with the help of Kudumbasree Unit of Chalikkavattam. Meeting started with the introductory speech by Hon Secretary Dr Siby T Chennankara, following which Dr Meera Gopalakrishnan delivered the awareness talk on the importance of dental health, which was well appreciated .The meeting was concluded by Vote of Thanks by Kudumbasree President. It was announced that FDC by IDA Kochi is going to resume its function on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, every month. We circulated Notices having all the necessary informations to all the members and visited the FDC to make sure that it can be started from 2 nd June , Sunday onwards.

08.March.2019 WDC CDH Program: International womens day | Dental check up camp | Cancer awareness talk
WDC IDA-KOCHI celebrated international womens day on march 8th 2019 by organising a dental screening camp and cancer awareness talk for kudumbashree members at tata union hall,kannachanthodu pachalam.
Camp started at 2pm by welcome speech by Dr shyama kamath.Dr Reshmi S Kaimal deliverd a great talk about different types of cancers in women,when n how to evaluate it.
IDA president Dr Bindhu Rachel talked about oral awareness .Kudumbashree ADS chaiperson Mrs Ajitha also delivered a small speech.Vote of thanks was given by WDC chairperson Dr Brijitha Manoj.Oral chek up was done for around 65 members.

14.Feb.2019 4th CDH Program: Dental check up camp
The fourth CDH programme was a dental check up camp held for 11th standard students of Vidyodaya School, Thevakkal on 14th February 2019. Around 170 students participated in the Camp. Dr Bindu Rachel (IDA President, kochi), Dr Gurleen Kaur, Dr Nirupama Sreedhar and Dr Hari Govind participated in this event.
04.Feb.2019 3rd CDH Program: Oral Cancer Detection and Awareness
On February 4th an Oral Cancer Detection and Awareness was conducted at Gujarathi College, Mattanchery in association with Rotary, Fort Kochi. Around 5 patients with precancerous lesion were detected and they were directed to Amritha and Government hospital to follow up on the cases. Dr Bindu Rachel (IDA President, kochi), Dr Jithin John, Dr Sreedevi, Dr Nevin Thomas and Dr Hari Govind participated in this event. This event received wide publicity and this news was published in the Malayala Manorama News Paper on 6th of February 2019
04.Feb.2019 2nd CDH Program: Bike rally
The second CDH was on February 4th as a part of World Cancer Day. IDA, Kochi conducted a bike rally from Vasco Da Gama square at Fort Kochi to Cusat Junction (Cochin University). The rally started at 6:30 am and covered a distance of 25km. a total of 30 bikes and 35 dental doctors participated in this.
26.Jan.2019 1st CDH Program: Dental check up camp
The first CDH camp was conducted at Sub Jail, Mattanchery on 26th January 2019 (Republic Day). A dental check up was organised for around 60 prison inmates and their authorities. Free mouth wash and oral hygiene kits were distributed. Dr Aji Kumar, Dr Bindu Rachel (IDA President, kochi), Dr Arun Babu, Dr Jithin John and Dr Hari Govind conducted this camp.
